2014 EVS internships

Are you...

  • Aged 18-30 and an EU citizen living in Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Spain or the UK
  • Interested in bird conservation and/or environment protection
  • Interested in improving bird, plant and other taxa identification skills
  • Interested in inspiring people about birds and the natural world
  • Willing to develop administration, work prioritising, numeracy and people skills
  • Keen to handle, digitise and analyse biological and other data
  • Outgoing, friendly and presentable
  • Keen to meet new people, socialise and experience a different culture
  • Adaptable and willing to learn
  • Able to work within a charitable organisational structure
  • Happy to work flexible and occasional long hours
  • Physically fit (for essential fieldwork)

We are looking for new interns to join our international team protecting birds and their habitats, and inspiring and educating people about birds and nature in the Maltese Islands.

Internship Details

Dates: 1st February 2014 – 31st January 2015 (start date negotiable, end date is fixed)

Costs: These are volunteer positions, but all living costs will be covered through the European Voluntary Service

Number of positions: 8 - 2 conservation, 1 environmental law, 3 marketing/communications, 1 education, 1 administration
