Saved, restored and extended the saltmarsh at Ghadira that is now managed as a nature reserve.
Saved, restored and extended the reedbed and marshland at Is-Simar that is now managed as a nature reserve.
Masterminded the huge affrestation project called Foresta 2000 as BirdLife's millennium project.
Reaching over 22,000 students per year since the launch of the Dinja Wahda environmental education programme that is now in 70% of primary schools.
Significantly improved the national legislation on hunting and trapping in line with conservation objectives.
Stopped hunting at sea and the trapping of finches during spring 2007.
Identified the Important Bird Areas of Malta that are now designated as Special Protection Areas.
Campaigned and stopped Spring hunting and trapping in 2008.
Currently running the biggest conservation project of its kind, the EU LIFE Yelkouan Shearwater Project, in the Maltese islands.
