BirdLife Malta Dinja Waħda Rangers awarded for promoting Maltese biodiversity

This morning, 30 students from Saint Theresa College Girls’ Secondary, Mrieħel, received awards in recognition of their contribution to biodiversity protection in the Maltese Islands. The students, aged 12, have all been appointed as Dinja Wahda Rangers as part of the pilot programme for BirdLife Malta’s Dinja Waħda environmental education programme for secondary schools, now in its second year.

School children petition Minister for the Environment on environmental issues

Today, primary school children from nine schools in Malta and Gozo expressed their environmental concerns to the Minister for Sustainable Development, the Environment and Climate Change, the Honourable Mr Leo Brincat, in the annual “Dear Minister” event, for schools participating in BirdLife Malta and Bank of Valletta’s Dinja Waħda environmental education programme for primary schools.
